Babies, Heroes and Matt lust

Christmas 2 was a blast although my calves are paying for it still after carving it up on the dancefloor at St J's with Ralph and Maz. I have my work Christmas Party tonight which should be fun - although the complete lack of available cabs at this time of year will be a pain in the ass.

I went and saw Pommy and her son Jake today. Despite some very sleepless nights recently she looked well and the Jakester warmed up to me, especially once he realised I have some of the longest fingers in his galaxy. I told her of my relocation plans for next year and she was incredibly supportive (previously she's always been the hardest one to break the news to whenever I jet off overseas). I showed her some photos of SL and I at the wedding and she did her typical drool over any pic with Matt in it thing.

Also let my parents and sister in on my plans for next year and while mum would obviously prefer I stay here, everyone was very positive especially because they dig SL so much. I fear I'm going to be traded in for the shiny Singaporean model sometime soon!

Oh yeah, and I've started watching Heroes. It doesn't come on tv here until next year but this is the exact reason why the commercial networks in Australia are beginning to see a ratings slip - the Net savvy among us are not willing to wait 8 months to see the latest hit program when we can have it immediately. Anyhow - Heroes. It was a given that I'd watch a show about superheroes, but I wasn't aware that the quality would be of such a high standard. There are cool powers, some great characters and some really nice mysteries that will be played out over the course of the series. My favourite is Hiro, the Japanese anime geek who discovers he has super-powers. Not only do I get to have fun comparing subtitles to the direct Japanese translations, but it's also the same actor who plays Franklin in Scrubs. I can't recommend this show highly enough. Don't wait for Channel 7 to do something with it, just watch it now!

You'll love it. Pretty clever show. I'm now up to date with the states for episodes.
