You hate to say that someone else's life should be the stuff of entertainment but in the blogosphere it seems as though those two are one and the same. The following link is to the memoirs of a female, ex-DC Comics employee that really went through the wringer over the last couple of years and some preceding. What she has written is part expose, part cautionary tale and all tear-inducing heart-splitting mind-boggling tour through a life in and of comics for a woman. Start from the bottom up. It has comics, rape and broken vaginas, as if I haven't got you interested already. This lady (I've withheld the name in case she wants some semblance of privacy) writes in an engaging way and I can't recommend it highly enough. Certainly it was enough to get me thinking about what I read and what kind of politics it espouses.
SL told me tonight that I once sent her a curt email asking her not to send me "funny" emails with massive attachments. Now this was a few years ago, before the advent of massive inboxes and I think I had some justification for said request as I was living overseas and rarely got to check my email. Something like that may not seem like a big deal. In fact it probably honestly isn't. In the late nineties and early days of the new millenium we all sent out an email like that to someone at some point right? The point being that small or not, it was a bit of a jerk thing to do to someone that just wanted to make me laugh. So come one, come all, inundate me with your funniest crap. I promise that I will maybe look at it.

you still won't open massive attachments now even with "the advent of massive inboxes" cos you tell me that you're afraid of viruses. See, some things never change. i just get rejected with different reasons.
You know you don't get rejected. I'm just anal retentive. I like links, quicktime files and some idea of what I'm going to be looking at.
Jesus Harold Christ, that blog is insane. Just read it from start to finish and I think I need to go take a pill and a lie-down.
