I need your help

Reader Poll

Loyal readers, I need your advice on somethimg. Should you give a reference to someone you thought was average at their job? I'm leaning towards yes because this person is genuinely very nice. That said, it does make me feel ethically dirty to do so. What do you guys think?

i wouldn't but knowing myself, i'll have difficulty saying no to the person, i would just oblige.

It depends on what you write in the reference. Being the wordsmith that you are, I'm sure you can craft the wording in such a way that you are telling someone what they need to know without distorting the truth.

It's your reference reputation at stake - and you know how small this world is.

Yeah, look the decision was already made that I would do it before I even blogged it. It's against my better judgement but I want this person to succeed in what they want to do - so if I can help them out, why not?

Hmm. This is assuming you would have the faintest fucking idea of what you were talking about. Skimming through the blog, seems like that's a big assumption to make.
