Bum Lasers

This afternoon I went and saw the Tezuka exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. Honestly? Not that exciting. It was in a smallish room. SL, it was just the first room of the Picasso exhibition, as opposed to the first room plus the much larger second room. I did enjoy seeing it though. I think my only complaint was that he draw to the scale of actual manga so you had to get right up close. That said, he obviously deserves his Master status. My favourite art came from a series he did about a woman that continued to reinvent herself. The first image of a woman having hung herself will surely stick with my for some time and may have even been an influence on Frank Miller's Sin City in terms of its use of black and white.

Have sat here tonight and listened through the Beatles/Cirque de Soleil soundtrack "Love". There have been a hundred remasters of old Beatles material over the last two decades but this was actually something genuinely different. Being based around a live performance, the songs tend to blend in to one another and become something of a catalyst for showcasing the links between various eras of the Beatles. Anyhow, still haven't decided exactly what I think of it but I enjoyed it upon initial listen. If you're a fan of the Beatles you'll probably listen to this regardless. Time to see what the new Beck album is like...
