It's 12.09am - Merry Christmas!!

I tried to be good today and help my parents set up and cook and clean up for Christmas tomorrow (today). Besides spending the good portion of the day talking to SL, I did just that. Washed dishes, folded napkins, moved furniture, pined for my absent gf, approved seating arrangements AND saved Christmas!!! Yes, that's correct - the Grinch himself actually saved Christmas.

This is how it went, if you can understand it :
- Sister 1 calls Brother 1 and tells him she's bringing her dog so he can't bring his.
- Brother 1 calls Brother 2 and says he's not coming to Christmas because his dog can't come.
- Brother 2 calls Parents and tells them that Brother 1 isn't coming.
- Parents meltdown with the insanity of it all.
- I call Sister 2 and ask if Sister 1's dog can spend the day at her place. She agrees.
- I call Sister 1 and tell her that her dog is staying at Sister 2's place. She agrees.
- I tell Parents that this is the new scenario.
- Parents call Brother 1 (I don't speak to him unless inhumanly possible) and tell him that he can bring his dog. He agrees to come.
- Parents are happy and less meltdowny.

Yay Supervisor!! And this is before Christmas Day has even arrived. You may be able to understand why I'm happy enough to spend Christmas overseas. Those of you with big families will understand everything I've just said. Tomorrow (today) there're 17 guests which is relatively conservative by the figures of some years and doesn't include drop-ins by Brother 2's bogan friends. So me, who isn't even a huge fan of Christmas, actually saved Christmas for our family. I'm very sure it will still all get very explosive nonetheless, but I've done what I'm able to at this point to ensure a merry Christmas for all.
