I haven't bought any CDs in ages but JB called out to me on my way home. I picked up the best of Hoodoo Gurus for $12 and the new Sarah Blasko album. When I was in high school the Hoodoo Gurus released the album
Crank. Give it a listen sometime. Songs like The Right Time will get you up and out of bed in the morning. I forgot what a rock nerd I used to be in high school. One of the best things about this best of? It actually has a short summary by one of the frontmen of what influenced the writing of the song or what the band was up to at the time. Haven't listened to Blasko's newie but I enjoyed her first album so if it's much of muchness then at least I know it'll be enjoyable muchness.
Got my uni results yesterday. All good with the exception of one blemish which was a 65 in the subject "Language in Education". As someone who regularly writes assignment topics and tests for my own students, I have to say that I thought the essay topics for that subject were pretty poor. Unfortunately such insight didn't result in a mark that would have sat comfortably beside my other marks. C'est la vie.
It was Sheau Lih's birthday yesterday. Some people are lucky that they become even more beautiful as they get older. Happy birthday, princess.

I saw Sarah Blasko when she was still an unknown (only 3-4 years ago) and she was the support act for Beth Orton at her Metro gig in Sydney. I guess she has come a long way since then. I can't wait to get all my music out of storage!
One more day...
